We had an amazing soft show at the studio from this country analog tape duo called Video Basic. Lots’ of professional toast were eaten during the night, till the end of our compassion. Check some of their synthy sounds.

From 24th february till 1st march 2016 i’ll be into the second batch of appointments of the Adagio con Buccia project. It’ll here in Milano, at Palazzo Durini where Bonotto Editions has his own showroom. It’s a pretty special and magic location quite close to the Duomo. I’m very very curious to see what will come out with the 32 persons i’ll meet. So many thanks to Fondazione Bonotto and Xing for all the support. Ah – the Konstrukt guys just got their Live at Tarcento Jazz Lp nominated as best new release, album of the year 2015 by the New York City Jazz Record. Bravi!!! Here below a video from the Tarcento Jazz session. I did a serie of drawings for live and studio Lps out on Holidays Records.
I let you with this relaxing gem from Bali that i discovered in Turin. I spent 31st december with Iside and Gher doing a wood writing desk and a huge clothes rack with shelves. I must keep my wood attitude alive. Have great new feedbacks!!!
Next december 10th – we’ll guess the rumbling Dennis Tyfus at our studio. From the early afternoon he’ll be doing his No Choice Tattoo: if you want one write us to book your place or come early! Around 8pm Dennis will play for us some Vom Grill tunes. A lovely 7inches just come out from the warmy Holidays Records.
I’ll be also presenting a serie of new winter clothes and be full and full and full of huge wooly scarfs. Come for a visit and to have some epic polenta, magic mushrooms and bloody red vine with us.

Last month i meet Annamaria Ajmone and i had the pleasure to do her costume for Tiny, her new dance action – recently presented in Roma and here in Milan at Danae Festival. I was then pretty happy to see my simple contribution been alive in her movements. Many complements to her work and hope there will be future chances to collaborate again.

Ah, it could probably sounds weird – but why not: here is my first digital image to sell on the shop. There are so many works based on datas, mainly digital photos or collages. We are now so used to consider the computer ad a daily tool and this is a simply unquestionable fact. To sell a digital image still looks to me a bit as a provocation and still need a physical action: to send to the probable buyer a screenprinted piece of paper to certify the exchange. The file is a tiff, 40×25 cm, 300 dpi, CMYK. It’s a collage titled Stuck in the past #1. Of course I consider the digital image as infinitely reproducible and copy/paste thing without control, so i fixed the screenprinted handsigned certificate to a number of 5. The file will be sent via wetransfer.
At my Ottaven page >> two new impros i recorded summer 2015 in Palermo. I jammed a week or so. 9 track will come out as a serie of Sequenze per raffigurazioni mentali, where i’ll try as much as i can to work on the idea create images with the use of sound sequences.

Last October 22nd i was at the Istituto Svizzero with the lovely Anton Bruhin. As Piattaforma Fantastica we helped to install a mediateca room about the musical world and work of Anton – also documented by the collaboration with Alga Margen. That night Anton performed some pieces with scacciapensieri.. and it was definetly lovely. From 22nd till december 12th it will be possible to discover the expansive and various work of Mr. Bruhin. From the 80s he practices with different techniques. Here is the link at the exhibition.
As second part of the exhibition we invited 3 musicians to perform at the Istituto Svizzero in Milano and to interact with the Anton’s work. So the 19th november we’ll have Luca Garino, Lettera 22 and Papiro. Anton Bruhin will jam together with Luca Garino. Pretty curious to be there.

This is a heavy one to describe: a month in Sicily is a dense and warm experience. Right now is the last week and it looks time run so fast. I had time to read, time to swim, time to walk, time to meditate on, time to draw, time to play music, time to look around, time to meet people, time to feel in love with simple images, simple facts, fast surprises, violent apparitions, strong but loveable coincidendes.
The 24th june i partecipated at the exhibition Museo delle Palme into the unbelievable Orto Botanico in Palermo. The event was curated by L’A Project Space in collaboration with Operativa gallery. I was into the exhibition with a screenprinted poster and a live sound piece made in collaboration with Carola Bonfili. She wrote L’uomo palma, a magic short tale and i had the pleasure to set the music for it. It came out as a 2 hours audio performance that i had the chance to play into a huge ficus macrophylla three. Pretty rare place.. Hope there will be other situations to play something like this More info about the show here.
The 4th july at the legendary Von Holden Studio there was an interesting speech from Marco Pasi about Aleister Crowley. Later I join Matteo Castro from Second Sleep for a live session with Primorje, with a new liveset we worked out together here in Palermo. FB and photos here.
The last audio action i’ll perform for this summer in sicily will be next monday 13 july – at Sacrosantum: the day before of the 390^ Festino di Santa Rosalia. Streets will be invaded, crowded, loud and full of folklore. The night of the 13th i’ll be playing 4 sets of 30 min each at SS Salvatore church, one of the highest point of the city with a beautiful view allover Palermo. Music for cats, roofs and solitary viewers. Super exited! More info here at the FB page.
